2026 Campaign Concludes with Impactful Shoe Distribution Event

Daphne, AL (April 28, 2026) – Hundreds of residents across Baldwin and Mobile Counties participated in Baldwin Bone & Joint’s 22nd Annual Many More Miles Campaign by donating gently used shoes. This collective effort resulted in approximately 5,000 pairs of shoes being gathered and prepared for redistribution to those in need. Of the total shoes collected, 2,000 pairs were donated through partnering BCBE and local schools, demonstrating strong community engagement from students and their families. The remaining 3,000 pairs came from a variety of sources, including Baldwin Bone & Joint physicians, employees and patients, and members of the surrounding communities through drop-off sites at the Spanish Fort, Daphne, and Foley YMCA locations, City Hope Church, University of South Alabama Student Recreation Center, White-Spunner Realty, and McCoy Outdoor Company in Mobile. These collection points played a crucial role in facilitating the campaign’s outreach and enabling broad participation.

Daphne, Ala. (April 28, 2026) – The Spine Institute at Baldwin Bone & Joint is pleased to announce the addition of Celeste P. Fleming, PA-C to the clinical team of Fellowship-trained Spine Specialist, Dr. Charles Gordon.

“My diverse clinical background over the years has shaped my analytical approach and deep interest in the underlying causes and progression of disease. I am committed to compassionate, patient-centered care and serve as a dedicated advocate, ensuring patients feel heard, respected, and supported throughout their recovery and long-term health,” Fleming said.

Fleming earned a Master of Health Science in Physician Assistant Studies and a Master of Education in Exercise Science/Cardiac Rehabilitation – both from the University of South Alabama. She completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Technology with a Minor in Chemistry from the University of South Alabama.

“It’s a pleasure to welcome Celeste Fleming to our team,” Gordon said. “I am confident that her addition will enhance our ability to provide exceptional care and support to our patients. Her training and experience bring another level to the neck and spine care services offered.”

(February 16, 2026)– Local school-age kids, runners and exercise enthusiasts may have put a lot of miles on old running shoes and everyday footwear (athletic, everyday shoes, and boots), but by donating these gently used shoes to the “Many More Miles” campaign, each pair will be given a new purpose and continue their journey on the feet of individuals in need.

(December 22, 2025) – Local school-age kids, runners and exercise enthusiasts may have put a lot of miles on old running shoes and shoes for all purposes, but when they are donated to the “Many More Miles” campaign, those gently used shoes will come to life again as they land on the feet of someone who really needs them.

Baldwin Bone & Joint, P.C., along with City Hope Church and participating Baldwin County Schools, is hosting its 22nd community outreach event. In 2026, the Many More Miles Campaign shifts to a focused, powerful Week of Giving, March 9–13, speeding shoe donations to foster families, homeless communities, and local schools.
